Before purchasing your first horse, there are two key factors you should consider: 1) Bloodline and 2) Rarity
In Horse Run, there are four distinct bloodlines, each with its own traits, origins, and legends. Just like in the real world, a horse's bloodline forms the foundation of its performance. However, it's only one part of the equation — every horse performs differently across various track types and distances.
Geography: Solar Plains — vast steppes bathed in sunlight for most of the year, with slightly gravelly yet fertile soil.
Legend: It is said that centuries ago, some horses were blessed by the sacred light of Helios, the Sun God. Their descendants became known for their unmatched finishing power and endurance.
Symbolism: Golden tones, motifs of the rising sun, and details inspired by rooster feathers.
Geography: Shadowwood — dense forests with towering canopies, dim light, and rich, moist soil.
Legend: According to ancient lore, horses that roamed these woods gained the power to move unseen beneath the moonlight — the mythical "speed of the shadow." Hunters who witnessed their fleeting shapes blessed them in ceremonies honoring Luna, the Moon Goddess.
Symbolism: Shades of midnight blue and deep graphite, adorned with crescent moons and stylized leaf motifs.
Geography: Storm Coast — a rugged landscape shaped by relentless winds, rocky shores, and crashing waves.
Legend: Horses that endured the fiercest tempests were said to be touched by Aeolus, the god of wind and sea, earning the title "Rulers of the Sky." Once they began to gallop, they could run with the speed and fury of a storm.
Symbolism: Silver-gray and storm-blue tones, with motifs of lightning and waves.
Geography: Highlands — high-altitude plateaus with thin air, cool nights, and short grazing seasons.
Legend: It is said that horses who could survive even a few days on these summit plains were known as "Spirits Ascending to the Sky." The most resilient among them became legends, crossing frozen ridges in the heart of blizzards.
Symbolism: Pure white snowfields, soft sky-blue tones, mountain silhouettes, and motifs of a rising sun.
In the Horse Run ecosystem, there are five rarity tiers, listed from most common to most exclusive: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary.
Legendary horses are the purest and most sought-after bloodlines. They can only be obtained through limited loot rewards. Once the total supply (10,000) is sold out, no more horses will ever be minted — new ones can only be created through the breeding system.
Gender plays a key role in breeding and lineage development. Male horses can stand as studs for a breeding fee, while the female horse's owner keeps the foal. Currently, males can sire up to three offspring per season, while females can give birth to only one foal per season.
Male horse without offspring
Male horse that has sired offspring
Female horse without offspring
Female horse that has produced offspring
There are 12 different coat color groups.
A horse's color can reflect its closeness to its ancestral bloodline — the more similar the hue, the stronger the genetic resemblance. However, don't forget: even contrasting colors can produce future champions.

Race classes are designed to balance competition by grouping horses with similar skill levels, ensuring fair and exciting results for all racers.
If your horse has never competed before, your first step is to enter a free First Run Class race.
Meanwhile, Maiden races are reserved for horses that have raced before but have not yet won. Once a horse wins a race, it can no longer enter Maiden races.
When your horse competes in a First Run Class race, it will receive its initial base rating, helping you better understand its potential and performance level. After each race, your horse may move up, remain in the same class, or drop to a lower class based on its results.
At the end of each race, horses earn or lose Handicap Points according to their finishing position:
Each horse may have its own unique jockey and distance preference that affect its overall performance. These characteristics can only be discovered by racing your horse and observing where it performs best.
If your horse finishes 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th, your earnings will be automatically transferred to your connected wallet right after the race.
Note: Game earnings will be added directly to players' in-game balances, not to their crypto wallets. Players can choose to use this balance to enter races or withdraw it to their crypto wallets.
A horse's performance is determined by four core attributes:
Maximum velocity achieved during a race
Endurance and energy over distance
Initial burst power and speed buildup
Mental consistency and concentration
In Horse Run, horses are distinguished from one another through these four attributes, which define their Skill and Distance characteristics.
